Here are updates on the Township’s Hawthorne Drive Project.
The Culbertson Run (Hawthorne Drive) Stormwater Improvement Project was placed out for bid with bids due on May 13th, 2020 – it will be a 4 month (120-day) project
-
- Subsurface basins will be done in phases so that the work does not block resident access to any of our streets
- Funding from 3 sources – Current cost = $804,672.00
- Existing 2018 Growning Greener Grant – $246,021
- Capital – $312,119
- Liquid Fuels Fund $246,532
- Property “rights to entry” requested from all homeowners were not 100% fulfilled so there will be 6″-to-12″ tall railroad tie retaining walls, instead of grading/swales, along two homeowner properties
- The bid includes grinding and removing 74 tree stumps
- Relevant pages from the overall 111 page March 27th township meeting agenda packet may be found here
