Hedgerow Culbertson Run HHA Online

PECO plans to replace the underground electric service in the development, as part of a reliability improvement project. We will share more details & timelines as they are provided by PECO. This project is the source of the PA One Call utility markings throughout the neighborhood.

The pool repair began in November 2022 and identified multiple components that required repair. New plumbing, skimmers and returns, were installed. The void under the pool was filled with concrete. Tile & coping were replaced, along with leveling and rebuilding the bond beam. Superficial cracks in the plaster were patched and the pool has been filled with water.

Remaining work:

• Electrician will review and repair the electrical bond in March
• Concrete contractor will pour replacement concrete deck in late March/early April
• Pool repair company will return and caulk the expansion joint

Based upon the timeline of the work, the pool is expected to open on Memorial Day weekend as planned. We are looking for 2 or 3 more lifeguards to ensure that the pool hours are not impacted by the ongoing lifeguard shortage. Contact the HOA Board if you have interest. Thank you.

Lastly, two FAQ’s regarding the election process:

1. The Nominating Committee operates entirely independent of the HHA Board. Nominating Committee members print and distribute all election materials, including the ballots, and then tally the votes from returned ballots.
2. All ballots include an imprinted seal to ensure that there are no fake/duplicate ballots cast.

Due to damage to the pool’s concrete deck and recently determined structural issues with the pool itself, the HHA Pool likely will not be open this summer.

Originally, the goal was to have the concrete deck repaired as soon as possible with a likely opening in June. However, the subsequent assessment of issues with the pool itself creates a longer timeline and additional repair needs that likely will not be completed until after the pool season.

The HHA Board will continue to prioritize these issues and if there is a possibility that the repairs can be completed on an earlier timeline, we will communicate those updates.
