Here are updates on the Township’s Hawthorne Drive Project.

The Culbertson Run (Hawthorne Drive) Stormwater Improvement Project was placed out for bid with bids due on May 13th, 2020 – it will be a 4 month (120-day) project

1. 1. Subsurface basins will be done in phases so that the work does not block resident access to any of our streets
   2. Funding from 3 sources – Current cost = $804,672.00
      1. Existing 2018 Growning Greener Grant – $246,021
      2. Capital – $312,119
      3. Liquid Fuels Fund $246,532
   3. Property “rights to entry” requested from all homeowners were not 100% fulfilled so there will be 6″-to-12″ tall railroad tie retaining walls, instead of grading/swales, along two homeowner properties
   4. The bid includes grinding and removing 74 tree stumps

20191211 – HHA Reserve Fund Study and Budget Presentation

The township is changing their trash/recycling hauler from Republic Services to AJ Blosenski effective Jan 1st and the trash/recycling pickup day is changing to Tuesdays. Notes about the change were in the township Mile Marker newsletter and the article is below.
